EMDR

You've done the journaling. You've talked about it in therapy. You intellectually understand where it comes from, and yet something still feels stuck. Sound familiar?

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is an evidence-based therapy that gets to the root of what traditional talk therapy sometimes can't quite reach. Developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro and recognized by the American Psychological Association, the World Health Organization, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, EMDR works by using bilateral stimulation (guided eye movements, tapping, or auditory tone) to help your brain reprocess distressing memories and experiences. In plain terms? It helps your brain finally file away the stuff that's been stuck on repeat into the filing cabinet it is meant to be in.

The best part is that you don't have to retell your story in painful detail for EMDR to work. Your brain already knows how to heal, EMDR just helps it get there. It's highly effective for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, phobias, and those deep-rooted beliefs about yourself that you just can't seem to shake no matter how much work you do.

I currently offer EMDR for teens and adults, including an intensive format for those who are ready to do focused, concentrated work without the stop-and-start of weekly sessions.

I am currently offering a FREE 15-minute consultation for new prospective clients. Book your consultation with me today by filling out this short form.
